Peak Performance, the Scandinavian mountain brand renowned for bold and innovative outerwear, is growing its sustainability-driven FLO programme with fresh additions to its signature Helium range, set for release next week.
Here’s what you need to know before it lands:
1. The Peak Performance FLO design programme – FLO standing for Fabric Leftovers – turns surplus fabrics into technical products without compromising the innovative performance and bold aesthetics the brand has become famous for.
2. The new and limited-edition Helium Utility FLO capsule is the latest addition to this innovative performance concept and, like its sellout predecessors, gives life to would-be industrial waste.
3. In keeping with Peak Performance’s statement approach to design, it arrives in four unique and stand-out colour-blocked colourways.
4. On top of utilising leftover materials and saving valuable energy from entering garment production processes, the Helium Utility FLO keeps performance front and centre, with 700 fill power from 90/10
RDS-certified down insulation – giving it a remarkable warmth-to-weight ratio.
5. Packdownability is also a key feature of the Helium Utility FLO, as is the use of a PFC-free durable water-repellent treatment for all-weather protection.
6. As well as the expansion of FLO into more technical ranges in the near future, the last 18 months have seen Peak Performance grow its popular second-hand programme, WearAgains, into select European online and physical retail spaces, and host workshops on downcycling to help customers prolong the lives
of their garments.
7. The Peak Performance Helium Utility FLO will be available at peakperformance.com and in selected stores from 27 August and priced at £320 Sizes range from XS to XL for women, and S – XXL for men.
