This summer, LEKI unveils the new Sky series, developed in collaboration with professional mountaineers to create the ultimate mountaineering pole.
Part of the Sky series is the Skytera FX Carbon SL, a lightweight yet highly stable companion for tackling rugged mountain terrain. Weighing just 178 grams, it offers a reliable balance of weight reduction and durability and aids performance and recovery.
Designed for versatility, this adjustable-length pole (110 cm to 130 cm) allows users to shorten it for steep ascents, reducing strain on the legs, or extend it on descents for added stability and support, such as when crossing moraine. Constructed from carbon fibre, with a 14 mm upper section and a 12 mm lower section, it conveniently folds into three sections—perfect for stowing away when hands are needed for climbing or handling ice tools.
A key innovation in the Skytera FX Carbon SL is the newly designed Verticon grip. Made from 1K foam and angled at 8°, it ensures a natural and comfortable wrist position. The ultra-light, quick-drying D-Loop Mesh Strap—previously seen on trail running poles—maximises breathability and minimises moisture absorption. Additionally, the grip extension enhances control and comfort.
Whether you’re scaling demanding peaks or navigating technical terrain, the Skytera FX Carbon SL is built to perform. RRP £190
