Example:

This is my EDC kit for hiking, it gives me the confidence to enter the hills. This was developed over five years and has been tested and relied upon many times in the Scottish Highlands and the Lake District. I cover the basics, communication, fire, first aid and tools. I have used this as part of a rescue, to fixing a chair in a mountain boffy, to preparing lunch.

Communications, I have both a standalone GPS location device and my iPhone and Apple Ultra watch combo, a backup on a backup. If something goes wrong, I want to be able to communicate, I will soon be adding a small radio to this kit.

My first aid kit covers the essentials, including some plasters, disinfection, a bandage, and painkillers.

Multi-tool works in combination with my first aid kit, and scissors, but also gives me access to a saw, and pliers.

Power bank, again, communication, the phone is so much more than a phone, its a torch, its navigation, its beacon and when the battery gets low I can get two full charges from my power bank, just remember the cables.
