BERLIN — September 5, 2026 — At IFA Berlin 2026, RugOne officially launched the Xsnap 7 Pro with confirmed final production specifications, pricing and availability. The device, along with other RugOne offerings, is being displayed at IFA Berlin 2026, Hall 3.2, Stand 137, through September 8.
Xsnap 7 Pro marks the launch of RugOne’s third major product line and is world’s first device to combine a professional modular action camera with a rugged smartphone, making it an “All-Weather, All-Terrain Imaging System.” This is achieved through the introduction of a detachable, magnetic module that shifts instantly from a powerhouse phone to a hardy action camera. Detached, the 39g module mounts magnetically to a helmet, a bike or other gear and records on its own; docked, it charges from the phone and transfers footage over a direct wireless link.
The detachable camera module
The module records 2.7K video at 30fps across a 133° ultra-wide field of view, with intelligent distortion correction keeping lines straight and subjects looking natural. SteadyX algorithms and Horizon Lock technology hold the frame level through 360° flips and high-impact sports. Beyond Video and Photo, it shoots FreeFrame Video, Time-lapse, Loop Recording, Slow Motion, Pre-record and HDR Photo.
Detached, the module runs 40 minutes per charge and holds up to eight hours of 1080p footage in 64GB of onboard storage, with seamless sharing to the phone’s 512GB. Docked, it recharges from the phone’s 9,300mAh battery up to 20 times.
The module is 5m waterproof with no extra housing required, and sits secure in the phone pod with raised edge protection. It mounts on the supplied magnet pendant or universal mounts, or stays on the phone, so the same camera moves between handheld, worn and mounted shooting; further third-party accessories are supported. The Xsnap Go app handles real-time monitoring from up to 50m away and editing on the phone’s 6.67-inch display. A charging dock and lens cap are included.
Durability and hardware
Rated IP68 and IP69K and tested to MIL-STD-810H methods, the Xsnap 7 Pro withstands 2-meter water submersion for 30 minutes, 1.5-meter drops onto concrete and complete dust ingress. The front screen is protected by Corning® Gorilla® Glass Victus. It comes in Sand Dune and Classic Black, with an Aura Pulse breathing light on the back panel that pulses with calls, music and notifications.
Under the hood, the device runs a MediaTek Dimensity 8400 5G chipset with 12GB LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB UFS 4.0 storage. The 6.67-inch 1.5K AMOLED display refreshes at 120Hz and peaks at 1,700 nits. The 9,300mAh battery supports 45W fast charging, 50W wireless charging and 10W wireless reverse charging, alongside eSIM support, in-display fingerprint ID and dual shortcut keys.
Cameras
Alongside the detachable module, the Xsnap 7 Pro carries a 50MP OIS AI main camera on the Samsung GN9 sensor, with OIS + EIS dual stabilization, AI enhancement and 4K video recording; a 64MP infrared night vision camera with IR LEDs for crisp black-and-white detail in total darkness, for wildlife observation and security; and a 32MP front camera. A dedicated native Underwater Camera Mode is included.
Software
The Xsnap 7 Pro ships with Android 16, upgradable through Android 20, and natively integrates Google Gemini alongside RugOne’s proprietary AI suite: Circle to Search, Real-Time AI Translation, AI Call Summary, AI Writing Assistant and handwriting math recognition. The ChatGPT and Grok ecosystems are natively supported.
Pricing and availability
Early-bird sales open on Kickstarter on September 7, with super early-bird pricing from €799 for a limited quantity. Global retail follows in October through Amazon, the RugOne online store and local retailors at $999 in the US and €1099.99 in Europe.
